I think that it´s so important to know about learner characteristcs because is an useful key to teach. I´ve read that the differences include a learner´s motivation, language level, learning style,personality, learning strategies, age and past language learning experience. Moreover differences in maturity can influence language learning. However, it isn´t easy because learners are not all the same, of course, and they don´t all learn in the same way.. So, this means they need to be taught in different ways and learn differnt things in the English classroom.
ResponderEliminarAfter of studying about learner need and learner characteristcs, I could understand because I prefer teaching adults learnes. They usually be able to control and plan their own behaviour, pay attention to form and meaning in language, and they can concentrate for longer periods.
